Radiohead has an early Christmas present for their fans … it’s a multi cam fan shot video of their 2011 concert supporting The King of Limbs. The video was actually put together by fans who attended the New York City show. Now, it’s hard to put together quality concert footage without professional audio, so Radiohead contributed the professionally recorded audio to be used on the video. The 21 song concert is uploaded on YouTube. Watch the video below or at this link. Happy viewing!
A few years back, Nine Inch Nails fans did something similar. The band told certain venues to be very lax with their restrictions on fans brining cameras to their shows, and they encouraged fans to record the show from different vantage points. Then a group of fans used the internet to network and upload content so anyone could grab the footage, and the audio produced by the band, and make their own concert video. The project was called This One Is On Us. You can see one version below or at this link.
